There are two types of Porcelain tile on the market, Technical Porcelain tiles and Glazed Porcelain tiles.
Technical: is that which receives the decoration and color in its paste through dyes, micronized dyes, soluble salts, among others;
Glazed: is a single paste which receives its color through glazing and decoration. For this reason, all material that contains glaze on the surface will have a PEI rating, defined by the manufacturer, in accordance with the Technical Standards.
